Antique 9ct Gold Masonic Ball Locket Pendant – Circa Early 1900’s
These ornate Masonic Ball Fobs can also be known as a Cross Fob or a Masonic Orb. The original Freemason owner would have worn this to discreetly shown his membership into the brotherhood.
Most commonly dated to the late 19th to early 20th century.
The orb is gold plated silver (gilt) and in its closed position resembles a ‘ballot ball’ used during Masonic voting. Once opened this Orb folds out to reveal six hand engraved pyramids with 24 Masonic symbols – 4 per pyramid.
